You are invited to a zoom meeting this week concerning the City of Boston’s Squares and Streets zoning initiative. As folks may or may not know, the new zoning amendment (Arrticle 26) has passed and been signed by Mayor Wu. Folks accross the city have been organizing, but the effort is somewhat disparate. A collaboration of folks from Hyde Park have responded with a zoning ammendment of our own. We call it the Citizens/Residents Peition. Displacement, parking and affordable housing development are also key to this effort. We see our S and S Citizens Petition as fundamental to protecting neighborhoods from over development and the hollowing out of our commercial districts.
Please join us to learn more and help with the citywide effort to make this process work for our neighborhoods.
