Updates
Firework activity
- Call 911 for illegal use of fireworks.
- If someone is selling fireworks, call 311 or the CSO (Community Service Officer).
Dirt Bikes in Parks
- There is a no chase policy, but police will chase under exigent circumstances, i.e. the use of firearms.
- Dan Hunt that they are trying to address the dirt bike problem at the legislative level.
Sydney Street and Savin Hill Avenue Intersection
- It is a busy and dangerous intersection with problems of double parking.
- There was a car incident the other day. People are worried someone might get hurt.
- Councilor Baker is working with the Boston Transportation Department (BTD) to address and solve the problem.
- The only solution by the BTD is to write tickets as public safety takes precedent.
Morrissey Boulevard
- Drag Racing is still an issue.
- A speed limit sign northbound between the X-way off ramp and Bianculli Boulevard is still missing.
- We should continue to email Senator Dan Hunt. The more emails there are from residents the more likely things will get resolved.
Pleasant Street Slow Streets Initiative
- The temporary installations at the East Cottage Street intersection are effective according to residents who travel that roadway.
- We should start to see more changes and improvements over the summer.
