At the hearing, the Landmarks Commission found that the historical significance of the property was significant enough to invoke a 90-day demolition delay. The purpose of the delay is to allow time for the developer to come up with an alternate design that includes the original building. See meeting announcement HERE. Proponents had previously presented at the June 13th Planning meeting their proposal for eight (8) units and ten (10) parking spaces. General Membership voted to recommend OPPOSITION of the six (6) unit proposal to the ZBA: Support 7, Opposed 14, Abstain 2. The Planning Committee voted to recommend OPPOSITION of this proposal: Support 3, Opposed 7, Invalid 1. ZBA Voted to APPROVE this proposal.
