Meeting minutes from the May 7, 2018 general meeting:

- Motion to pay bill of $117.00 for supplies for the cleanup
- Patrick Vandell, new neighborhood liaison at the Boston Mayor’s office, introduced himself. He spoke about funding investments based on the Imagine Boston planning process
- Shane has moved on from Councilor Baker’s staff to the City Council staff
- Nominations for Officers/Executive Board. All uncontested. Motion to elect on one ballot — passed
- Eileen Boyle spoke in support of a bill to make methadone more accessible via pharmacies, etc. so out of town users don’t have to come to Boston to get it
- Regina Hanson from ISD spoke about the rental unit registration/inspection program. All rental units need to be registered. All inspected unless owner occupied and have six or fewer units. Inspection once every five years. June 30th deadline for registrations
- Mark Culleton, Executive Director of College Bound, spoke about what to use their space for after contract with BPS ends.
- Register of Deeds, Steve Murphy, spoke about his re-election campaign
- Steve Harvey, newly of Councilor Flaherty’s office, introduced himself
- District Attorney (DA) candidate Greg Henning spoke about his campaign
- Frank Baker gave brief updates about his work and about Shane leaving
- Don Walsh spoke about the Visioning Committee, announced the sites the Committee wants to focus on, and the metrics for judging proposals. Will put visioning statement to vote in June
- Catherine O’Neill spoke about Dot Block. Demolition scheduled to begin May 9th
- 50/50 raffle
