Community Picnic Review
- It was a good turn-out in spite of the rainy weather and last-minute relocation to First Parish Church.
- People enjoyed connecting with neighbors and friends. Kids had a lot of fun.
- The food vendor Lord Dawgz was very good. We should consider hiring them again for next year.
- We raised $149 at the picnic. Total funds raised to date from our events is $538.
- Money received from our sponsors will cover the costs of the event.
- This includes $400 to First Parish Church for their last-minute accommodation.
- First Parish will send us an invoice for Des to issue a check.
- Next year we should plan for an indoor rain location.
- We should plan well in advance of the picnic date.
- Catherine O’Neil said she would help us in filling out the paperwork ahead of time to get Southline as a back-up location if it rains.
- We are informed that the Eversource sponsorship check should arrive next week.

Other Business
- 2025 Events Budget – The Events Committee members should come prepared to our next meeting with a proposed 2025 annual Events budget.
- CSHCA Community Bulletin Boards
- We should determine 8-9 locations. Some locations that were suggested include:
- The Courts at Savin Hill Park
- The Beach
- Ryan’s Playground
- The Subway stations (2)
- Patten’s Cove
- Edward Everett Square area
- We could have members who live near those areas volunteer to keep those boards updated.
- Bill checked out a website with various bulletin board designs, which run about $150 a piece and will need to be mounted somehow.
- We may need to get permission from the city or other stakeholders for bulletin board placement.
- We should plan on getting this done in the next 6 months or so.
