Things to Keep in Mind
- Public Comments for Dorchester Bay City development: whether you love it or hate it, please take the time to let the City know your perspective using the form waaaay at the bottom of this page
- Upcoming Monthly Speaker Series: Starting in January, a speaker will join the CSHCA to talk about local history, arts, culture, and so on; the series will not coincide with General meetings, and would likely occur on the third Thursday of the month (or something like that); please get in touch with suggestions
- Fire pits: it’s simple – they’re illegal
- Sign up for City newsletters: they’re the best way to stay ultra-informed! And there are so many newsletters – literally something for everybody
- Do you know a resident who has an interesting story to tell? We want to hear from them! The goal is to start a brief video web series focusing on residents who’ve had fascinating lives
- Do you know someone who would like to interview fascinating residents, then edit the recording into an interesting video to be shared on the internet? Please get in touch!
- Do you know someone who loves the neighborhood and can’t stay off social media? We are looking for someone savvy enough to engage people on Facebook and Instagram…and maybe others, too?
- Stay updated on COVID-19 in Boston
- Attend the virtual meeting on Thursday evening about renovations at Ryan Playground
Public Comments
- Civic Associations should be a source of information, support, and a safe platform from which to share one’s concerns
- Residents will be afforded two minutes to speak during this time; due to possible time limitations, anyone who is unable to speak before the meeting ends is invited to submit their comments in writing, and they will be posted publicly
- If you’d like to speak, please connect with me beforehand, if possible; if not possible, that’s okay, too
- Personally defamatory language is unacceptable, as is abusive language, as is unfounded accusatory language
- Please remember: disagreement is good, and criticism is good, but if it’s not constructive for the community, this is not the space for your comment
