In 2023, the Community Benefits Committee will work on the following:
1. Reaching out to public officials, and others, to focus on the 10k units of new housing and the 7m sq ft of new commercial space that will be our neighbors. We need a full Comprehensive Plan to make these incredible numbers work.
2. Updating our priorities for how the Community Benefits Funds provided by large developments (the 10k, 7m) mandated by the city should be distributed. These funds could be $100m.
3. Preparing recommendations to the CSHCA membership for using the $3.75m two developers are proposing to give to the CSHCA. We’ve never seen anything like this before.
