- The ANNUAL CSHCA holiday raffle and social will occur at the end of the meeting. We have SEVERAL prizes from local merchants and restaurants to raffle off to members along with a food tasting from the likes of Bale Café, Venice Pizza, Pat’s Pantry, and more.
- Plan Glover’s Corner – Transportation Workshop: December 6th from 6:00 to 7:30pm at Viet Aid (42 Charles Street). Learn about Planning Glover’s Corner
- Dorchester Annual Tree Lighting: Thank you to many participants for a successful tree lighting. Many thanks to Patrick Fandel from Mayor’s office for coordinating throughout Dorchester and Councilor Baker and our Mayor Walsh. Also, thanks to the civic group for providing hot cocoa and holiday wreaths which SOLD OUT!
- Please join your neighbors and local and small businesses to support C-11 and the Dorchester Neighborhood Service Center for an evening of great food, raffles and friends. When: December 12th. Where: Venezia. CSHCA will collect toys at Monday’s meeting (value should be $25 dollars) to bring to event if you can’t attend. RSVP dmcbride@ebsb.com
- South Bay updates: Edens, the developers of South Bay, recently provided an update on progress. Wahlburgers will open in December. Learn more about South Bay development updates
- Plastic Bag Ordinance: The new ordinance will be effective December. Commissioner Bill Christopher and Constituent Services will address membership. A copy of ordinance is posted on the CSHCA website.

Recreational Marijuana… request for information. The CSHCA executive board recently approved to sign a letter for information and clarification about hosting agreements and impacts to commercial districts.
- Amendment to the bylaws. The executive board is recommending an amendment to the bylaws Article III section 3 to increase the annual membership fees to $10.00. The exception would be membership for seniors older than 65 years of age old would remain at $5.00. This is a voting item, and would be effective with membership dues paid after January 1, 2019. Speakers.
- Recently-elected District Attorney, Rachel Rollins, will address the membership and provide her goals and objectives. More info on her and her campaign can be found thru the committee to elect her: Browse information about Rachel Rollins, candidate for DA
- Ellen McDonough will provide an update on the parcel of land adjacent to the McCormack/Dever schools on Mt. Vernon that has been a topic of development discussion.
- Dot Block: Members of the new development team including associates of Gerald Chan who in partnership with Steve Samuels (initial developer of South Bay and current developer for many projects in Fenway) will introduce themselves and provide an update to a change to the initial project to be filed in early 2019 with the BPDA.
