Beautification

Chair:  Maureen McQuillen

The committee meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7pm.

The Columbia-Savin Hill Civic Association Beautification Committee was formed in 2002 by residents concerned about the appearance of our neighborhood.  We work to establish and maintain various beautification programs and handle issues related to the maintenance of a clean, safe, and attractive community.  The committee works to organize social and educational programs specifically geared toward improving our neighborhood.  Our focus is also on working with residents and business owners to encourage site cleanliness, lawn maintenance, upkeep, and property improvements.

Annual programs include the Plant & Bake Sale in late May, Bulb Sale & Bulb Planing in Octover and the installation of Christmas wreaths along Dorchester and Savin Hill Avenues.  Additionally, wreaths are sold at the annulal tree lighting at Ryan Playground (Dorchester Avenue & Harborview Street), the 1st Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Please see the News & Events section for more information and upcoming meeting dates.
